Meena
I was in Jimmy’s room, looking in his closet to find him something to wear. I wanted us to coordinate on the Red Carpet later that evening. We had been spending a lot of time together. If you were just meeting us you would have sworn we were a couple.
I had to admit I enjoyed being around him. After all he had been through he still maintained a positive attitude. He made me feel like a queen. It was nice having a man in my life who put my feelings first.
I was starting over. I had changed my number, and once I saw the picture of Pablo and his new family on Facebook I blocked him from my page. I knew that this was something he did in the past, but it hurt and still hurts. Knowing when I was laid up in a hospital bed, after losing our child, he was making love with someone else and conceiving a child that wasn’t going to be mine.
I jumped as I felt Jimmy’s arms wrap around my waist.
“Boy, don’t be sneaking up on me like that!”
“Quit crying! Did you find me something to wear tonight?”
“You know I did. Being a son of a pastor and all you have are suits?” I smiled.
“Yeah, I know.
“I’m sorry,” I said, realizing he might not want to talk about his dad.
He must’ve sensed what I was thinking, because he turned me around so I could see his face. “Don’t ever apologize for speaking your mind. You can say what’s on your mind or in your heart with me.” He lifted my chin and kissed me softly. “How much time do we have before this event?”
“We have plenty of time. Just don’t mess my hair up.” I grinned.
“What I have planned won’t affect your hair at all. I promise.” He sat me down on his bed and massaged my entire body. His hands roamed from the tips of my toes to the back of my neck and he gave me pleasure I never thought I could imagine.
